HGH 101

While conducting our study on human growth hormone, we came across a great deal of information on the subject that needed to be evaluated.  While some of this information turned out to be false, we did come across some information that we felt had value for those seeking to naturally increase their HGH levels and realize some of the benefits that go along with doing so.

So, we've included on this page information that helps shed some light on natural HGH supplementation and what it entails.  Information such as what HGH is and what it does for the body, how HGH supplements attempt to work, and which ingredients are primarily used in natural HGH products.

bulletHGH and What it Does

HGH, also known as human growth hormone is a hormone found in the human body that is produced by the anterior pituitary gland located in the brain. HGH SupplementationIts chemical composition contains 191 amino acids, making it one of the more "chemically complex" hormones found in the human body. Now, a hormone is basically a chemical used by the brain to "communicate" with the body.

HGH has an impact on many major processes of the human body. For instance, HGH stimulates growth, metabolism, tissue repair, cell regeneration, and immune system function. Just about every important process your body undergoes is influenced by HGH levels. Some of the possible benefits of increased HGH levels that most people are interested in include:

•Decreased Body Fat Levels
•Increased Lean Muscle Mass
•Increased Energy Levels
•Better Skin Tone (less wrinkles)
•Improved Sexual Function
•Looking and Feeling Younger
•Better Sleep
•Accelerated Healing

bulletHow HGH Supplements Work

Natural HGH supplements generally work in one of two different ways. There are HGH releasers and secretogagues. Although they take different paths, both aim to naturally increase HGH levels in the body.

HGH releasers basically work by providing some of the raw materials that the body needs to produce HGH. Since HGH is actually comprised of 191 amino acids, HGH releasers contain some of the more important of these. The idea behind a HGH releaser is one of making sure the body has what it needs to continue to produce relatively high levels of HGH.

The second type of HGH supplement is known as a secretogague. These products work by "fooling" the body into thinking it needs to produce more HGH. Apparently, introducing a small amount of homeopathic HGH into the body causes it to begin production of additional HGH in the pituitary gland. Over time, this leads to an overall increase in HGH levels.

Our research indicated that both types of HGH supplements have worked for people in the past. Unfortunately, we were not able to find out if one type worked better than the other. This may be one of those situations where each individual needs to figure out what works best for them.

bulletNatural Ingredients Used for HGH Stimulation

While studying HGH products, we noticed that many of the more successful brands tend to share a list of common ingredients.  That is, the key ingredients in many of these formulas were the same.  Here is a list of those herbal ingredients that are used the most in HGH supplements:

• L-Arginine

• Colostrum

• L-Glutamine

• Pituitary Powder

• L-Glycine

• GABA

Although this list does not include every ingredient used for HGH supplementation in every product currently on the market, it does give you an idea of which herbs are the main drivers in naturally increasing HGH levels.

bulletSummary

After reviewing some of the basics on human growth hormone, you're probably wondering which products work best to increase HGH levels.  To address that, we've set-up a page listing what we found to be the top herbal HGH supplements on the market today.
